Thursday PM Session 2 — Colored Clay
This 4 week class introduces students to nerikomi, a Japanese ceramic technique that uses colored clay to create intricate patterns and designs. Students will learn how to prepare and color clay with Mason stains, build patterned blocks, and assemble them into finished forms using a variety of methods. The class emphasizes experimentation and encourages students to discover how colored clay can be integrated into their individual ways of making. This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with prior clay experience.
