Students will learn surface design techniques they can apply to both handbuilt ceramics as well as wheel thrown ceramics. Techniques includesgraffito, using paper cut outs, water etching, etc. students are recommended to create test tiles alongside their larger pieces (which can either be made alongside instructor demos or off on their own) so they can get in the habit of testing ideas on a smaller, less important surface.
